STEEL FIXER / TRAINEE STEEL FIXER Thorp Precast based in Chesterton, ST5 6BN is currently looking for Steel Fixers and Trainee Steel Fixers. The suitable candidate will have previous experience or interest in? steel fixing, will be eager to take on training and have practical skills. The role will involve shaping, fitting and positioning steel bars or mesh structures to create reinformence cages for concrete precast panels. Using nips to tie steel bars and mesh together will be essential to ensure stability. You?ll work from technical drawings and often use machinery and tools, including cutting and bending equipment. This is a permanent role, 8:00 - 16:30 working hours with regular overtime available to suit paid at 50% more. Immediate start available.
